About Us
FilmFab.com was started by Darrell from the need of getting quality gear at an affordable price for him and his friends to make short films and features for one of his other sites, MonsterSpaceStudios.com
It all started from one website, MonsterSpace.org. From there came the creation of MonsterSpace.tv which featured red carpet premiere coverage as well as haunted event coverage such as Knott's Halloween Haunt and Halloween Horror Nights. Next came MonsterSpace Studios where short horror films were made for the 1st Annual MonsterSpace Horror Short Festival. After realizing that he wanted to make other films besides horror, he created DSLRevolution Studios. The name implies that all productions are made with an HDSLR instead of the traditional video camera as the image quality rivals that of the higher end $30,000 cameras.
As Darrell continued building his filmmaking gear he realized that all the gear he wanted was REALLY expensive and that he probably could build his own for cheaper......so he did. After getting many requests to make and sell his homemade stuff, he decided to start a company that offered good quality, affordable gear to the indie filmmaker who doesn't have the high budget of the Studios.
Darrell believes that everyone has the right to be creative by telling their story on film or video using tools that give their project a greater production value.
Why not go out there and make the next Good Will Hunting!
